There have been quite a few judges who have taken part in whittling the contestants of Project Runway to the final three (or four) who show at Fashion Week. [Yes, there have been lots of decoy collections over the years, but for the sake of my brain, we'll feature them later.] Do you think you can name them all? Not just the regulars, Heidi, Michael, Nina, and later Zac, but ALL the guest and/or temporary judges?? Luckily, here is a cheat sheet. Of course, we'll begin at the beginning.
S01E01 - Innovation
Ahh, were we ever so young? Remember when Nina worked for Elle. That was an interesting turnover...
S01E02 - Vision
Do not trust Wikipedia (like you need my reminder...), this Paul Berman is not this Paul Berman. If you want to learn more about 30 Van Dam, good luck. It must have closed some time in 2005, because there aren't any references to it, let alone its original website passed that year. Thank you Wayback Machine! Constance White is apparently no longer with eBay either.
S01E03 - Commercial Appeal
Deborah Lloyd has also moved on; to Kate Spade, apparently.
S01E04 - Collaboration
So, "up and coming rock star" Sarah Hudson's career never really took off after her first album (I blame that winning 'look'). A decade later, she co-wrote Katy Perry's Dark Horse (with five other people...), so I guess she is doing alright. It's not too late to buy her album (cheaper on CD than to download!)
S01E05 - "Model" Clients
Some consistency at last! Michael is still a fashion designer, Anne is still with Elle, and Amsale is still a sought after wedding dress designer (who, even after this episode, hired Austin Scarlett for a brief period.) Anne outlasted Nina at Elle, is a self-professed fashion know it all, and was the focus of short lived reality series Stylista, which she would probably wish you to forget.
S01E06 - Making a Splash
The first episode to not feature Michael or Nina, which wouldn't happen again for some time... (Season 6, Episode 5: Fashion Headliners, to be exact.) Ten years later, Richard Johnson is still with Page Six.
S01E07 - Design a Collection
Betsey Johnson is legendary, lasting through bankruptcy, and coming back strong.
S01E08 - Postal Uniform Challenge
How cute is Becky?
S01E09 - Design for the Red Carpet
Did you know Nancy was Miss South Carolina 1987? She has also left Access Hollywood for Entertainment Tonight.
S01E11 - Fashion Week
Parker is not exactly the A-Lister in fashion or Hollywood that would assist with the Finale judging, but she was "Queen of the Indies" during the 1990s, brilliant in Waiting for Guffman, and, given ProjRun's sleeper hit status for Season 1, a fitting guest judge.
